After all danger of frost and soil is warm (55° at 6 inches), plant 5-6 seeds 1" deep in hills 4-5' apart. Allow 10-14 days for germination. When plants are 4" high, thin to 2 or 3 of the strongest plants. Well-rotted manure mixed into the bottom of each hill will stimulate growth and increase yield considerably. For straightest fruits for slicing, train your vines on a trellis or netting.
