90-110 Day. This fast growing variety matures much earlier than the standard and can be harvested in early fall. Mounding soil around the stems encourages whiter stems in leeks. Under the best conditions, the thick white shafts can reach 12 to 14 inches. Excellent mild onion flavor. As soon as the soil can be worked, sow seed 1" apart, 1/4" deep in furrowed rows 18" apart. Thin to 6" apart. They can be started indoors or in a cold frame February-March. Transplant outdoors when 8-12" tall. Allow 2 weeks for germination.
