Kohlrabi, Kossak Hybrid
#V02499
70 Day. Rounded bulbs up to 10" across grow at least twice the size of other kohlrabi and yet the white flesh maintains its sweet, delicate flavor with no trace of fiber. Smaller bulbs can be harvested earlier to allow about 12" spacing for the giants. As soon as the soil can be worked, sow 1 seed per inch, 1/2" deep, in rows 18" apart, thinning to 6" apart. Allow 2 weeks for germination. When the bottom of the stem has reached 2-3" in diameter, it is ready for harvest.
