This popular variety out of Italy is sometimes referred to as 'Dinosaur Kale' because of its unique leaf texture. The deep green leaves grow up to 3" wide and 10" long, and are perfect for soups and stews, or lend themselves nicely to salads when they are picked young. The flavor is mild and sweet, and becomes even sweeter after a frost. This plant is slow to bolt and exhibits excellent cold tolerance.
