63-65 Day. Pole Bean. Attractive plants and tasty pods make this an edible-ornamental. Impressive 6' vines with a purple hue, yield lovely violet flowers and large, stringless, meaty, reddish-purple, 5-7" pods with a green interior. Found by Henry Fields in an Ozark garden in the 1930's, and grown by generations of gardeners ever since. We preferred the flavor when the seeds were starting to form in the pod. Light-green when cooked.
